The Basic Hardware inside your Computer or Laptop
If you are still a little unclear about how a computer works, a basic understanding of what goes into the computer and what these specific parts do can get you well on your way to being a computer guru. There are four basic parts to the personal computer. These are the central processing unit, the RAM, the hard drive, and the motherboard. These things are the vital organs of the whole computer and they dictate how fast a computer is and how much storage it actually has for movies, music and other files. These things are usually mounted on something called a printed circuit board. These allow all the vital organs to connect to each other and be wired in to electricity.
These four things also have specific jobs inside the computer. The CPU is the brain of the whole operation. It delegates what tasks need to be done and when to do them. The RAM dictates how fast these things can be completed and how many tasks you can do at the same time. Hard drive space is how many files you can put onto your computer and the motherboard combines everything. All these things are connected via flexible PCB and that’s a basic run through of a computer’s hardware.
